Devcontainer Backend Doctor is provided under the MIT License. You may use, copy, modify, and distribute it under that license.

Diagnostic scope

The tool provides a static best-effort compatibility report. Container backends and platform behavior change, so a clean report is not a guarantee that every workload will run. Review findings and validate important projects in an appropriate test environment.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for your project configuration, runtime choice, backups, and use of diagnostic output. The doctor does not start containers or modify a daemon by default.

No warranty

The software and website are provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind, to the extent allowed by law. The complete warranty disclaimer is in the repository’s MIT License.

Changes

Material changes will be recorded in the repository and reflected by the effective date above.
